Empowering Unity and Progress: A Glimpse into James Gault's AUPE Vision

Greetings, AUPE Members,

The heart of our union is one that embraces unity, transparency, and a future brimming with potential. I am James Gault, an deep advocate and involved member, who has stepped up as a candidate for the Vice President position. Allow me to share my experiences, aspirations, and the path I envision for a stronger AUPE.

Embracing Transparent Leadership

Transparency is not a mere catchphrase; it is a foundational principle that underpins my commitment to effective leadership. My journey includes roles as a union steward, Vice Chair, Chapter Chair, and recently re-elected Chair in March 2023. Through these roles, I've championed members' rights and amplified their voices. I assure you that your concerns won't merely be acknowledged but I will work to have them interwoven into our union's decisions, making AUPE genuinely a union by the members, for the members.

A Pledge to Workplace Equity and Well-being

Our workplaces have encountered massive challenges. As Vice President, my unwavering focus is on championing improved conditions and equitable treatment for each member. Your well-being and growth are my priorities. I am committed to supporting you for an  environment that respects you and your mental health and well being,  ensuring that AUPE becomes not only a workplace but a thriving community of support.

Empowerment Through Engagement

Engagement is our lifeblood, I am deeply passionate about fostering opportunities for dialogues, workshops, and meaningful interactions. From my involvement in dealing with political issues to recently the Committee of Political Action, I recognize the weight of your voices in shaping our union's direction. My vision is for AUPE to become a stage where every member's voice resonates, propelling us forward collectively.

Extending Impact Beyond the Workplace

Our reach extends far beyond the confines of the workplace. It stretches into the communities and people we serve. By actively participating in local events and forging connections, I aim to demonstrate the tangible change AUPE can bring to the lives of those around us. We are not just workers; we are ambassadors of progress.
